Programming How is our program/schedule developed? Your daily schedule is broken into three parts: morning, afternoon and evening. Each part is then filled with activities tied to the appropriate modules: service, learning, reflection, free time, or miscellaneous activities. A day may look like the following:
Using a modular system allows us to create meaningful experiences for your group whether you stay with us for 2 nights, 7 nights, or more while maintaining the flexibility that allows us create schedules with varying degrees of Pilgrimage involvement. While programs tend to follow some basic patterns, the staff can work with groups to incorporate special interests or particular people into the schedule. Schedules vary depending upon a group’s desired experiences, the time of year you stay with us, and availability of service providers, speakers, etc. We are open to exploring almost any programming option you can imagine; if you have something you would like us to explore, let us know. What programs/schedules do you offer? If you stay with us at The Pilgrimage, we offer four main programming options: Alternative Volunteer Breaks, Church in the City, World Religions/Interfaith, and Public Advocacy. Using these four main structures we provide an outline for your time with us; we will fill in the schedule as much or as little as you desire. |
